I am trying to order a new Data Plate. Mine was missing when i purchased car along with the plate on floor. The only thing I have is the Data number on the title which is on the VIN line of the title. Which is 2CA07711518. From previous posts i know the the following 2=Tarrytown CA=Eagle 07=month of manf.. What i don't know is what the rest means - 711518. I thought it was the number off production line but i didn't think that many was made. Any help would be appricated.

As far as I know the last numbers are "consecutive" unit numbers. The last end of numbers from right toward left is the car number and the other numbers from left to right are the group/section/crew number that produced the car. Also, it is the total cars produced for the year, (all kinds) so your car will not start with the number "1" for that model.

Serial number examples for 1952.
DeLuxe model, 1952, assembled in Kansas City. 82,619 deLuxe models assembled so serial numbers ran from 1001 - 81618.
Flint, 115,255 Deluxe assembled so serial numbers would run from 1001-114,254.
700,800 Deluxe models were made in 1952 which was a low production year due to the Korean War.

Thanks for the information. PLease correct me if i am wrong. My number 2CA07711518 reads;

2= Tarrytown, NY
CA=Eagle
07=month of production
711518= car off production line that year so far 710517(seems high)

You're right Rich, 711518 seems too high. According to the records I have, the last '33 Master assembled at Tarrytown carried serial number 2CA10-101134 on 10-25-33.
