you should be able to get new u bolts from a leaf spring shop in Germany. All you need to know is nut thread size and length.

or you can have a pair made and the U shape bent from steel bar stock and thread the ends yourself. Or ...If you have a piece of pipe same size as your rear axle housing bend it around that using a torch.

I just had some made for my 33 1 1/2 t . 22 dollars each. Made to exact spec, except thread length is standard, meaning he buys threaded rods and bends them, threaded about 2 inches on each end. Good company in New York, very nice to work with, and very professional. Pm me for Name

I think this is legal to do, here. In error I said NY. Actually it is PA. B&T Sales.
Or www.atssprings.com
They had free shipping for month of Feb. Bet you can still get that if you asked.

He is in GERMANY and it would definitely not ship to there for free. if you take an empty box to your post office and tell them this weighs 5 pounds and ask how much to send it by air speed, better be sitting down when u get price. Surface speed seriously cheaper can take 8--12 weeks by boat.

You do not make this part out of threaded rod its way to weak.

I'm sure the "threaded rod " referred to is not standard all thread rod that you get in a hardware store. The shop I am familiar with carries u-bolt stock in various diameters and length which is a special steel rod threaded on the ENDS only. Once they know the style of the top (round or straight) and the width of the spring they simply put the rod in a jig and it is pressed to form the correct top and width. It takes them less than a minute to bend one and they can bend stock over an inch in diameter.
