I am looking for some inforamtion on window sweeps for 1933. I am not sure wheather they had them orginnally of not. I have seen other 33's that had them but not sure if that an aftermarket item. I don't see any wholes in my wood or trim to indicate that they had them. Any pictures or information would help.

No sweeps. There was a rubber roller in the center mounted to the wood on both sides of the glass.
At least, that is what I have on my early Eagle model.

I have a pair of those rubber rollers on the 34 master roll down rear window assembly I have in my 35 std coupe. I am not sure if have them in the side doors as last had door uph off in 1980.. lynn steel makes them the roller rubber.......

1931--1957 anti rattle rollers window . replaces 4091152 rubber only. replaces originals perfectly and easily. Fits both styles of brackets most models # 70-0117-62 $5.40 each

re the sweeps......if you look at your side window glass channels that hold the glass, there is a flap of metal on the side.

I am pretty sure that an L shaped rubber very similar to the rubber that fits in the divider vent window bar is what would be used. The glass would have to be cut so that the rubber would come right up to and slip over the door edge when window is up and then going down with the window.

only other thing I can think of would be to nail the L rubber to the wood on the side of the door so that it stays in place with window going up and down.

Without something like this, the water even when washing car is free to get inside and rot out you wood parts.

I bought the rubber from lynn steele and sell by the foot. its around somewhere ? go to their printed catalogue or their online

found it........1926--1936 seal , lower side window . fastens to inner face of door to seal against outer side of glass , many models # 70-0064-57 $2.60 a foot

I also found 1930--1940 weatherstrip , side window lower edge, retained in metal flap on side of carrier channel. Seal out water when window is cranked up, some models...# 70-0079-58 $2.60 a foot

get both types.

Yes the seals (window Sweeps) that run horizontal inside and out of window glass to keep water from running down inside of door.

fuzzy stuff rubs against glass on the INSIDE door frame.

See listings above for the other types to keep out water.
