A few years ago I purchased some small clips that hold the Mouldings on the Face of a 33-36 Spare Tire Covers. The company has since gone out of business. Does anyone know of where I can get some of these clips?

What do they look like? Can you post a pic?

I do not have a picture but they are a small clip with a slot for putting a flat bladed screwdriver in to turn. They have a little lip on each end that goes into the moulding to secure it.

I think you're right Mike. Problem is, I don't know how to post pictures on Chat.

Me neither unfortunately. We will have to find a tutorial on this site on how to post pictures.

A thought just came to me. To hold the stainless trim on my 1934-35 Chevrolet luggage rack he is what I have.

Use #4 x 3/8 to 1/2" long machine screws with round heads. File or use a grinder or grinder stone to knock two opposing sides off , so they are now flat on the sides. This allows the head to slip inside the trim, then turn it sideways to lock its position. Finish it off with appropriate size tiny lock washer and nut.

Thanks Mike for the info. I do not need to fasten my Trim Rings as they are all on my cars. But I have Trim Ring I'm going to sell and I'de like to have the Clips when I do. I only have two.

some times it makes more sense to use an alternative than trying to find something that's almost impossible to locate or may not exist any longer

now you can offer your trim for sale

I am looking for the clips that hold the front of the spare tire cover to the back of the spare tire cover for my 35. Anyone know where I can get them?
