Hi When I imported my 32 from the US I found this piece in the car of which first I did not know at all what it was. Now I only know a little bit more, it must be some kind of radio control unit. On the front you can read “CROSLEY ROAMIO”. I plan to offer this unit on Ebay but for this I need to know what I actually have here. I hope that anyone here can help me with some useful information. And now I only hope that I manage to place a photo here as I have never done this before. Thanks Karl http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t214/hochratner/Radio1_zpsdc916947.jpg

In all the time I've spent on eBay, I've never come across one like that one...Good luck with it on eBay...Should make for an interesting auction...

Hi But is it certain that this is definitely an item from the 30s? Can anyone give me a hint from which period this roughly was? Thanks Karl

The general style of the unit indicates it would be from the early to mid 1930's.

That is a control head for a Crosley radio and probably would not mate to any other radio. If you had the complete unit it would consist of that control head, a tuning box with control cables and possibly a speaker unit. The tuning head would be mounted on the steering column. It looks like the bracket is missing from the control head.

I am looking for all of those I can find,I am taking a control head that has a built in switch and using it to turn on and off a hidden stereo. I have a Philco head that I am restoring to put in my 37 p/u so it looks like it has a vintage radio but has a stereo in the glove box with a USB port. I am also going to take complete non working radios and see if I can install a digital tuned shaft radio in the box controlled by the head,I picked up a couple junkers to play with and it will probably be a couple years before I actually get around to seeing if it will work but collecting the parts right now.
