After having the car in pieces since 1980,I am going to focus on restoring my car since my family is grown and has disbanded.
I am wondering what is the true color of the pointers on all of the gauges and speedometer. I see replacement vinyl decal kits which show the gauge markings white.
All of my gauges including the NOS gauges have cream colored pointers and markings.

Are the pointers and markings White or Cream on a 1937 Chevrolet Master Deluxe dash and clock?

They were ivory - which is between white and cream.

If my car were to be judged, should I leave the original instruments? Seems to me that the reproduction decal kits show White markings and not the Ivory.
Has any one used these 1937 Chevy Decal replacements? I would like to read your comments.

The chances of being noticed are almost nil.....If the originals are nice and bright, fine....if not use the decals.
Most originals have turned to a darker color in their old age.
