was just cruising the new ebay listings.

typed in " 1934 Chevrolet master convertible " to find it.

needs restoration probably 90% there....missing seat springs and rumble seat springs.

thank you Mike for the link, it certainly needs lots of love and attention indeed, and a deep pocket for restoration!
but looking for that car I found an amazing collection of other interesting chev bits and pieces.
money maketh the man and his hobby.......

Its needs lots of work big time, guess its all about what the sellers reserve price is as to whether somebody will buy this.

It looks to have the wiper motor relocated to bottom of windshield frame with a hole drilled thru and that's not a good thing. Has dual sidemounts but no right hand tail light. Dash has the cigar lighter in middle but no element. Glove box has a hole for an electric clock...neat.. Looks to also be missing rumble seat cushions and also the front seat cushions.

Pass side door has some serious rustout at bottom and maybe bottom of quarter panel. Like anything if one always wanted a convertible to restore here it is, question is how much to own it. you know its going to cost more to restore than you could get on money spent. If you have a lot of skills its easily savable, if not its a money pit.

This looks to be very complete with regard to the parts peculiar to the Cabriolet.
Mike, the Cabriolets have the wiper motor mounted on the bottom of the frame as this one does. This has the correct rearview mirror bracket, etc The windshield frame is intact and hopefully not broken. The heart shaped wiper motor is correct.
The seat cushions and frame, rumble cushions etc are available new from Hampton Coach.
The vent window frames are there and not broken. The top iron set is complete except for the wooden bows that need replacements. There is a sheet metal pan that fits between the top of the windshield frame and is attached to the bottom of the front bow. It looks like it is missing? Maybe it isn't.
This car deserves to be restored.
My best estimate based on actual experience with 1933 and 1934 Chevrolet Cabriolets and a 1933 Plymouth Convertible is that you have about 20K in paint, mechanical and body, 2-3 K in buying the missing parts, and 3K in the interior from Hampton, about 6-7 K in chrome plating.

Looking at the photos again. This car has the special frame rails that go from the top of the lock pillar center bow to the top of the windshield posts providing a weather seal for the top of the side windows when they are rolled up. They are the parts laying on top of the spare tires in rumble area.
These parts are very scarce.
David Entler builds the wood kits for 1933 Cabriolets and Jim Rodman builds the wood kits for 1934 Cabriolets.
The cost of these would need to be added as well unless you can make the wood yourself.
It is amazing how these cars show up out of no where.
For these and other convertibles once they were no longer useful or running they were just left outside in fields or junkyards and within a short time the tin worms and termites took their toll.

I get excited when I look at something like that.

PAT----Mostly likely you already have great spare parts to work on the convertible. Its a fisher body just like your coupe.

Considering what you started with on coupe, this looks easy.

The Pontiac would be easier. It probably is more scarce too, but very, very complete and solid. One can always dream.

That's what bank managers and loans agents are for.

Pontiac makes more sense. Less overall work and ultimately finished cost.

I did , then sold off other collected items I had, to pay for it.

everybody's situation is different, I only get the gov pensions

He may have one. have not been to his place in years

It is not for sale. It is in a museum in Elkhorn Manitoba. It is part of the core collection which was donated to start the museum.I doubt it will ever be for sale.

The 34 master cabriolet was a no sale at $3550.00 top bid.

I just talked to the owner of the 34 cabriolet and he sold the car last night for $5200! It's going to Calif. I was a day late and a dollar short!

That would be a good buy in my book. Expect to see it at a Street Rod show in a couple of years with BiG block and trick paint job.

The guy bought a car collection "stored out side in Michigan" from an older guys family as he is in a nursing home. He paid $1000 for the car. Also had 3 54 Chevy convs. and a 48 delux conv..Dang!!!
