I use 30W oil and only add a drop or two occasionally. Guess maybe drop per 100-200 miles?

It should say in your owner's manual how often to lubricate the generator.

In the center pages of your Owner's Manual, you will find a chart that recommends the location, frequency and type of lube for your car. If you have the envelope, Owner's Manual, and wall chart, they all came with your car when purchased new. The lube chart was to be posted on the wall in your garage.
