I know there has been plenty of discussion before about how the dome light in wired up. Ground runs from light to light switch in passenger side door frame, whish is attached to ground. My ground from light switch was attached to small nail in door frame with solder. Positive wire runs from light across wood slats and down passenger pillar to positive feed on ignition switch. Correct? My main question is I have a wire that is running down drivers side pillar. Does anyone know what this was for. I found a "Lite" switch in box that came with car. Would it have been for an optional light switch that mounted under dash? any help would be appricated. Thanks

Since I don't have a radio, i never gave thought that this could possible be an antenna wire?

The 33 has an antenna in the top material and was installed at the factory during the assembly. The lead-in is routed down the drivers side windshield post. The wire will have a male plug of the "push-and-turn" type.

Both ends are cut but i think this is what it was. Could it have been for anything else?

Positive wire runs from light across wood slats and down passenger pillar to positive feed on ignition switch. Correct? The 1933 Chevrolet wiring diagram shows that the wire from the dome light is connected to the back of the headlight switch. To get to that position it would probably run down the driver's side door pillar. This is just a guess but maybe someone ran another wire from the dome light down the passenger side door pillar and then connected it to the electrolock instead. If that is the case then they might have abandoned the original dome light wire that went to the back of the headlight switch because it was defective for some reason.
