Does anybody know where the paint code is located for a 1931 4dr sedan built in Canada? Thanks, Joe

Hi Joe. My '31 Canadian built Special Coach has all the details regarding manufacture on the GM of Canada tag riveted to the firewall. I will post in the members photo area my tag for your info.

Compared to the U.S. tags, the Canadian tag provides more info, engine and body serial #'s, trim and paint codes etc. Hope this helps. The Ind 105 I think refers to Independence and perhaps 105 is Special modelMy car's paint code is 1024, which is a Canadian code, and as near as I have been able to find out, is for a complete blue body (not two-tone) with grey window reveals, red pin-striping, and red or black wheels. Thanks to JYD for that info.

Thanks for the detailed photo. That's what I thought. A guy working on a 31 4dr says the code's not there. Maybe it was ordered for a commercial vehicle usage...Joe

The guy just sent pictures of his & it doesn't look anything like yours. His looks more like a 1929/1930 except it says 31559. Maybe an early car? Maybe the paint codes were stamped into the wood?...Joe

The paint codes for 1930 were stamped into the driver's side wood main sill.
