After completing the interior on my 51 hardtop I am down to the carpet . Got every thing from Hampton coach except the carpet. Not impressed with their workmanship at all. Didn't buy the carpet as their price was $300 plus for the front and $300 for the rear ! Got some color samples from Stock Interiors real quick and price is manageable. I have an old carpet now but not sure it is original . Is the original carpet bound all the way around? Did it have a cutout in the center (front)where the hump changes angles and then bound around that ? If not bound was it held under the sill plates at rocker panels ? In the rear , was the carpet cut and sewn to fit the hump ? Thanks .

The front carpet was not bound in the front where it tucks under the flap on the firewall. There is binding on the part that goes over the hump + a sewn togeter part above the hump. Will need to send you a picture as it is difficult to explin.
