Maybe someone can help? Just ordered a front license plate bracket from The Filling Station for the front of my 37. It appears that it is supposed to fit over the bumper bracket, however the bumper brackets are never parallel to the front of the car, causing the plate to be sideways. I checked with all suppliers photos and this is the bracket for my car. Anyone know where this think goes?? Are we supposed to try to bend the plate bracket??

I've got a '37 Sports coupe now, and I had a '37 Town Sedan in the past. Both cars had the front license plate bracket mounted on the right-hand (passenger side) outer-most bracket, approx. 6" from the bumper bolt, as shown below............. ![[Linked Image from home.rochester.rr.com]](http://home.rochester.rr.com/mrplates/lp2.JPG) You might have to "tweak" the bracket a bit. -Bob

I see in the photos. I didn't know if the bracket could be bent slightly. I sem to have a way of breaking things trying to "bend them slightly" Thanks for the reply I'll give it a try.

Thats a picure of my wife and me taken while vacationing in the summer of 1939 when my '39 was new.Location was the Mississippi river just east of St.Paul.Had just snowed 6 inches the prior day. Note that the 1939 license bracket (and 1940) was mounted to the front fender and not the bumper bracket.

Golly Gene, I hate that you didn't get all the way out to "Mack". It probably would have been a most enjoyable trip...He!He!
