Hi,

Seems over the past year I have difficulty with staying on the forums. I have reset my cookies, used other computers, etc. Each time being logged out when I go to another page within the forums. Have the same difficulty with going to my "My Stuff." No way to ask or answer a question in the forums without being logged out.

The only way I was able to get here this time was going to "My Stuff" to look at messages and having to log in once again. Then I opened a new tab for the forums discussion in order to arrive here once I saw I was not logged out.

This has been very frustrating and the reason why I have not frequented Chevy Chatter much in the past year or so.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this problem? Suggestions?

Thank you!

Keith,
Have you prevented cookies or restricted cookies? If so you may have to log in with each page as a record of your log-in can not be verified for each page visited. Of course BB will know more specifics and be able to help more that I.

Keith,
I have to start by saying that 90% of the problems that people have are caused by their own configuration. So let's play the odds and start with that:

1) Did you try a second (or third) browser? This is a MUST!! Install Chrome AND Netscape. Both are FREE. Then, using one of them, go to Chat and do all that you normally do. See if there's any difference. I'll repeat what the experts say -- Microsoft IE has problems.

2) Do you have cookies enabled within your browser? Chat will ONLY allow you to stay logged in if you have an active cookie. Go through the browser settings to find out. Or search the Internet to find the specific steps... example, search Google for "Browser Cookies Enabled"

3) If you still have problems, send me a PM and tell me what Operating System you have (eg. XP, Vista, Win 7, or AOS) and what browser you use (eg. IE, Netscape, Chrome, Safari, etc) and finally what version it is (eg. 7, 8, 9, or 10, etc)

Hi Bill,

I reset my security settings in IE 11 as Chip suggested. Seems I am not getting logged out like before. Had done this on several previous occasions without the results I wanted. ???

Using Chrome for this message to see how this reacts.

Thanks!
