I need help to fina the wool broadcloth for my 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster sedan 4 door, to redone the seats of each.
I did find on Lebaron Bonney catalog the wool broach 15-69-1 (taupe/brown/blue striped ) that is very nice and closed of the original one. But the Lebaron Bonney said that they do not have more the 15-69-1. I did look for on SMS Auto Fabrics too but they do not have it.
I would like to know if there is another place where I can find this wool broadcloth?
Thanks so much for any help

Hi Paulo, sorry you have had trouble finding your uphoulstry. LeBaron Bonney and SMS are the two main places most of us know about. Since they have been in business for years, I would hope LeBaron would only be out of the fabric temporarily.

The only other place that might be able to give advice is Enfield Auto . They make antique upholstery parts such as windlace as well as restore complete interiors for customers. They may know of another source for the correct cloth for your Fleetmaster. If anyone else has advice on alternatives, I'm sure we would love to hear from them.

All the best to you on your '47 project.

The US made 1947 Fleetmasters did not have a woll braod cloth interior. It was a low pile tan mohair material.

My 1947 Fleetmaster appears to have more of a gray color to it...maybe it's faded...but that's what it appears to be, when I've pulled back the...Wait, this is on the seats...The headliner is tan...

It was a light tan/gray color but not too much to the gray side. A plain mater was used on the sidepanels and lower front seat area and the cushions had a faint pattern.
