I have found a source for 66 belair door panels. the name of the company is SMS AUTO FABRICS in canby OR. they have good reviews and some that are bad. anybody have dealings with this company?

YES. A couple of years ago they supplied me with a perfect match to the carpeting I was restoring in the cargo area of my 1975 Estate wagon. They also happen to have the perfect matches to my seat materials and yes, door panels. My experience with them was very pleasant. Hope this helps. :)

thanks glide, for the info. i'll give'em a shot. can't seem to get very many to answer questions on this site. no problems with help on my 27s. must be no interest in a 66 belair

There are not as many owners or folks knowledgeable on '66 full size on Chat compared with '27. Besides in '66 there were several models compared with one passenger line in '27.

Don't give up on the '66. I have some in the 60s and 70s that are really nice drivers. The Boss likes to ride in comfort at times despite claiming she prefers touring in the '28s.

We have put 17,000 miles on the '70 Caprice in the past four years including driving it to the Flint shindig a few years back.

I owned a '65 Bel-Air standard shift V-8 many moons ago. Actually owned it four times. Long story. Sold it the last time in 1975 when moved to Texas.

Father-in-law had a '66 BA that was his work car for many years. Tough as nails!

I'll give the short version. Had a college buddy that received a '65 Chevy for graduation gift. Sold me his '57 two door with stuck clutch. He went to work at large chemical company. A year later I also graduated and joined the same company. A couple of years later the '65 needed exhaust, tune-up, etc. Said he couldn't afford it and didn't really need the car so sold it to me. I fixed it and drove it a year of so. He called and said he really needed a second car and would I sell it back? I charged him what I had paid plus the cost of the parts needed for repairs. A year or so later the car needed brakes, shocks and ???. He sold it back to me. We sold the car back and forth a couple more times when it needed fixing, tires or ???. Have owned a few other vehicles more than once but '65 was the greatest number of times.

thanks jim for the reply. I've tried to call them a couple of times with no success. I get a recording that transfers me to a extension but nobody answers. i'll keep trying and will post on my results.

finally got them to call me back. will not be buying from them. outside of being rude, they told me that they stock nothing. they make everything to order. was told that the turn-around was at least 6 months. hope this info helps others.
