The AC45 would be a better plug than the 45S. S indicates extended tip.

Typo. I did order R45. Could not find the non resistor. But I will have the radio hooked up next week. So it may help that. Thx.

I ran AC R45 in my'34 with good results. No condensers etc. were installed and had no ignition noises.

I also have a '35 Std with the 207 engine. I have been running the AC 45S plugs in it for a long time with excellent results. They are only recommended for overhead valve engines; with the extended tip they will be a problem in a flathead; No misfires at all, and the center porcelain is always a light tan color. The other plugs mentioned should be OK, but my experience with the 45S has been very positive. I wouldn't hesitate about using them again, if I can find them!

The extended tip (S) plug used to burn holes in the top of the pistons on the 1953 and up aluminum piston engines.

Thanks for to heads-up! That may be why I have not had a problem; my engine still has the cast iron pistons! Phil
