I need some help identifying a 1952 3100 pick-up. A friend acquired this truck in payment for work he performed. There is no title and the only identification we can find is Serial No. 8KPE 6230 on a plate riveted to the driver's side door post. Is this a 1952 serial number? Any ideas on acquiring a title (Florida) for a vehicle like this. He only has the cab, chassis and fenders. No engine, transmission, rear end or rear springs.

Most states have a provision for a mechanics lien and if not fulfilled a valid marketable title. Check with the state registration people in Florida for their procedure.
