Is the rumble seat cushion different on a 31 and 32? The new spring that I ordered does not fit. To big at the top. Or would any one have the measurements of one for the 31 thanks.

Is the rumble spring for a 1931 Coupe, Cabriolet or Roadster? The '31-'32 Coupe and Cabriolet should be the same. Roadsters will not be the same as the body sheet metal is different from the closed cars.

It was for a 31 roadster. The springs that I bought are too big. The base is ok but the top of the cushion is about 3" to long and about 2" to deep.

Yep, but I did order from brand x. Snyders. They said they make springs for about every thing. I guess they did not say they would fit!!.

What did Snyder's say when you told them it didn't fit? I am sure they have sold more than one in the past and therefore should know if they fit for other customers. It also brings up the question Is there something different about your rumble lid that other '31 Roadsters?

It is always best to contact the seller and/or shipper if there is a problem. Most reputable suppliers care about the quality and correctness of their products. We must understand that sometimes that is the best available. If they can't solve the problem then getting advise from others is warranted.

Hey Roger!
My Uncle just found the same problem with his springs. I'm thinking that they are making the springs for a 32 roadster and calling them 31/32. Don't know. But last time I talked with my uncle he was going to send in his original spring and have them copy it. Let me know as he should be sending it soon.

I might have the seat back for the rumble lid but I would need some measurements to be sure. It was marked 31/32...Joe
