Hello to all. I am new to this board and am a builder of museum quality model cars. I am trying to find a '39 to '42 four door sedan located in Southern California. I am interested in creating a model of a vehicle that is factory stock. I have been looking for the vehicle for a while and am discovering how rare unmodified cars of this era are. If anyone is interested in letting me photograph and measure their prize Chevrolet, please let me know. Thank you to all. Pete J.

Pete,

I have a 1940 2 Door Special Deluxe Town Sedan in Claremont, Ca.

There's a picture in my profile.

Very nice car. I appreciate you contacting me. My current project calls for a 4 door, but the cars are very similar. From the pictures I have seen, the differances seem to be quite modest. Perhaps you can enlighten me on sheetmetal differances. I will call on you if I can't locate a four door.

Pete, you have possibly tried this but, have you been to either the Pomona or Long beach swap meets ?

Seems to me I see a few 4 door Sedans at those meets. And try this site, lots of pics at least: www.webaccess.net

Good luck,

Mike41, your URL "www.webaccess.net" is not complete, it resolves to "www.viawest.net" a corp business site.
