Hi All. I am in the process of replacing the hard line fuel pie from my pump to the carb since mine is in real bad shape. Here in SA it is really difficult to get imperial size fittings and bolts etc and I also grew up with Metric. What is the correct fitting sizes and pipe size (In inches) to use here. I dont have any means of measuring it in my garage and I can imagine it would be a huge battle to take it to an hydraulic shop to get the fittings.

When starting a new post it would be good to note the model and year of your car as not all reading this post may have read your previous one regarding your 34 standard. Also we have no way of knowing if you are still working on the same vehicle.

Apologies everyone... I will learn as I go... Yes, I am referring to the 34 std coach I am working on. 5/16 seems about right. it is close to 8mm but what thread sizes would that be on the fittings?

I just went through this on my 1933 Standard & it's 1/4" steel. I've seen lots done in copper but steel is how it was new from tank to pump & pump to carb. They used ferrules & compression nuts to make the connections on all ends...Joe

Learned something. The larger engine displacement Master used 5/16" and the smaller Standard 1/4". Will need to check my inventory of W-1 cores to see if any have the 1/4" tube connections.
