Hello All - I am currently restoring the electrolock assembly for my '31 Coach. All is going well except that the lock cylinder is broken and beyond repair I think. I am talking about the pot metal piece about 1/2 inch diameter and 7/8 inch length into which the key is inserted. It rotates inside the larger cylinder that pops out when the key is turned. I plan to watch EBay and G&D for used original cylinder but was wondering if anyone has attempted to adapt a cylinder from a modern car, a Model A, or whatever. It looks to like another cylinder could be made to work as long as the diameter and length were the same but I have no idea how to find one like that. Advice and counsel gratefully accepted. Thanks and Happy Holidays to everyone!

Since you seem to be a member of the VCCA, check your latest issue of the G&D under "Services". There is a fellow listed by the name of Jarvis Erickson and he does lock cylinder repair and etc. From time to time he has complete lock cylinders available (with the key) for electrolocks so you might want to check with him regarding a replacement lock cylinder.
