Anyone know where these deck lid bumpers get screwed in?

I can't find any existing holes on my trunk lid

I am not sure but look for some holes in the side gutter or possibly the bottom gutter.Seeing there also used on a 1937-38 business coupe perhaps some one with that model can help.

I snapped a couple of pics of the only thing even close to what is represented in the drawing. They are the correct size but have an "L" shape instead of the "J" shape shown. Forgive the focus.

These are on my 38 coupe. She has an appointment the 8th to go to the body&paint shop to start on the exterior restoration.

They appear to be on the lid rather than on the gutter.

That's correct Gene. Right next to the trunk latching mechanism as you can see. There is one on each side. The metal part is in an "L" shape but there is a rubber piece attached to the short side that could give it the "J" appearance in the drawing.

Thanks for the pics Tiny, I guess they act as a bumper when you drop the lid into the trunk. My body man must have covered them over with paint.
Thanks, Guys.
