Hi Guys, You may recall my first posting regarding the construction and installation of a 6 to 12 volt converter in the Red Chev. http://my28chev.blogspot.com.au/2013/12/6-to-12-volt-converter-update.htmlVery pleased to say it is operating just fine and during approx 150 miles of testing over the last month, has never put out more than 13.9 volts. GPS and mobile run fine. I have just completed a second unit, to be installed in Monty the 1928 Chev over the Christmas break. If you are still a sceptic that thinks the only way to run 12 volt devices in a 6 volt system is carrying a 12 volt battery just for that purpose, knock yourself out. Or, is there a better way......................???? Cheers Ray
Some say "Street is neat". I prefer "1928 is great" I have documented my 45 years with a 1928 Chev Tourer, from 1973 to 2018, and regulary add other items that I hope are of interest to others. Your comments are most welcome. The story of the Red Chev can be viewed at http://my28chev.blogspot.com/

Awesome, that is great to hear...
I remember reading your original post when you built the first one and were testing it out. Glad that it is still going strong and NO issues !!
