Hello again,
as usual I need some more advice. This time on the correct type of spark plug lead to use. At the moment I am using a modern type of lead but I have been told that the car will go better on the old style of lead, whatever that is.
Can someone please inform?
Thank you
Ron

Modern type spark plug wires with the graphite core are not recommended. You should purchase a complete set of either 4 or 6 -cylinder wire that has the solid wire center.

You should be using a 3/4 reach spark plug also.

Thank you Ray, that confirms what I have been told. Also, can you tell me what a three quarter spark plug is. Not familiar with that term.
Thanks

The spark plug has threads/reach of 3/4 inches into the head. The 1/2 inch plugs place the spark in the threads of the head and can damage the head so a longer plug can't be installed without chasing the threads to remove the carbon. A modern replacement plug is the Autolite 3077, and is my recommendation.
