I have a 41, Special Deluxe, 5 Pass Coupe.

Redoing the TRUNK now and I think I better remove the rear seat and check for rust, bugs etc....

Does any one know the procedures for removing the rear Seat Back ? I read the Chevy body manual and it seems easy, at least in print.

Hi Mike,

I'm shooting from the hips, but I think you remove the seat cushion and look under the seat back at the bottom. I seam to remember some bent over arms that hold the bottom. Straighten those out and then lift straight UP to unhook the two holders at the top back.

If this is the wrong information, well, I tried.

If the coupe is like the sedan Ray is correct. In addition, after straightening the arms at the bottom, lift the seat back straight up 3-4 inches because it is hooked at the top. By sliding the seat back up you will release it from the hooks.

Thank you Mike & Ray....

The upholstery is so nice I am a bit worried about this, but I'll go slow and be patient. Two strengths the Irish do not possess naturally.
