was looking at wiring diagram in manual and looks like it said when needle is to the right its charging but on gauge it said dicharing . checked wiring and it loks correct. has anybody seen this issue?

The easiest way to check the polarity of your ammeter is to shut everything down, then turn on the headlights. If the ammeter moves into the "discharge" side, then it's wired correctly. If it moves into the "charge" side, it's wired backwards. If wired backwards, the fix is easy: Disconnect the battery and reverse the leads (all of them) on the back of the ammeter, tighten them down and reconnect the battery.

checked with lights on dicharge lights off needle move back to middle of gauge. maybe needs to be polorized?

Yes, try re-polarizing the generator.
