just bought a 66 Biscayne parts car. it has a remote mirror on the drivers side door. never saw one before. was it a option and is it rare? thanks

Do you have a 1966 accessory catalog? If not, you can get a reprint that shows the accessories for 1966 from the Filling Station.

In 1966 a standard out side mirror was standard equipment. The remote control mirror would have been a dealer installed accessory. Not too many cars had one installed, especially the lower priced lines.
The first remote mirror was available in 1953.

thanks nut, the mirror in question has a bowtie on it so I knew it was gm. the reason for the question, I have never seen one. thanks again
