There is a special t-nut that is used on the rear bow for the convertible top. It attaches the bow to the irons at the end of the bow. Does any one know if someone is reproducing them or have a set that they would be willing to sale.

If I could figure out how to add a photo I would. I have been unable to locate the file manage link.

Looks like lebaron bonney has some that are listed for Ford. Not sure if they will work, but they are probably real similar

Hi, you can get the t-head screw at the following website. http://antiqueautotophardware.com/ download the catalog and go to page 67 (number circled at top of page) and you will see them at the bottom of the page. This is the only place that I have ever seen them. I made my own because I could find any. This is by far a much easier solution.

If it isn't broken, fiddle with it anyway so you have something to repair.

You can get the barrel nut at Bonney LeBaron.

Thanks, for your help. It appears that you can only buy the barrel nut as a set with the t-nut. Or am I looking at the wrong part?

If you go to the LeBaronBonney and download their catalog, go to page 81 in the top right hand corner you will see sleeve nuts which is what you are looking for. The sleeve nuts are 6-32 or 8-32. The T-head screws are located at Antique Auto Top Hardware. The T-head screws are 10-32. BIG PROBLEM The original ones are 8-32 and as I indicated before I made my own for my 31 because I could not find any. I fortunately had one that I could use as a pattern. To use the T-Head screws you need to locate larger barrel/sleeve nuts. Contact Antique Auto Top Hardware, they might be able to help you. You could also possibly re-thread the screws with a die to reduce the size.

Thanks for the additional information. I should have no problem re-tapping them to 10-32 providing the is enough stock. I have the parts on order.
