I have a 1937 7 tube deluxe radio, model no 985255. The aerial connection on the radio for the antenna lead-in takes what I think is called a bayonet socket (a twist connector) rather than the common single pin type connection. I have been told that there was an adapter made so that the pin type antenna lead-in could be used. Does anyone have any info on where one of these adapters can be obtained or any other ideas on how to adapt a pin type antenna to this radio other than changing the antenna socket in the radio?

Antique the Mechanic can fix you up with a replacement socket.
