Can some or one of you that have worked on the wood frame cars give me some general guidlines for adjustment of the doors for my 4 dr 29 Chevrolet? Seems like the back doors have great alignment but it seems both front doors are not aligned as they should with regards to the door striker plate, alignment rubber etc. Seems like the rear of the front door has dropped a bit. At one time I saw a diagram showing blocks under the wood frame in the front which would potentially raise the doors but I can't find that diagram.

Thanks

I previously saved it in the Resource Center for all members about a year ago. I never could find it when I wanted it either... So the Resource Center seemed like the perfect spot.

Go to http://vcca.org/members/
Log in
Click on Resource Center
Click on Technical info
Click on Door Alignment.

Easy, huh?

(Go to) http://www.gmheritage center.com/docs/gm-heritage-archive/vehicle-information-kits/chevrolet/1932-chevrolet.pdf
You'll have to insert your 1929 instead of 1932.This site shows you diagrams of body mounting points for door adjustment plus other stuff.Hope this helps.....K.C.
