Could someone please tell me the correct size bulb for the dome light in my 48 Sport Coupe? I have tried a GE-82, but it is too big for the fixture.

I would guess a 63. Don't know if I can look it up or not. Will see what I can find.

It been a while...I checked with NAPA for the bulb and was surprised to find the they'll only sell them in 10 packs...Geez...Another member can help you out...Maybe they'll even have a "spare" they could send you...I could use one, too. I think it's the only bulb that's used anywhere in the car, that size...

Thank you Lonnie --Your chart shows a 82DC bulb listed for the 48 dome light. I bought several GE82 bulbs only to find out that the base is a little too wide to fit into the receptacle. I will try Chipper`s recommendation and get a #63.

I tried my O'Rielies, and they couldn't get them...FS sounds like a deal...Don't fall for the 12 volt bulbs...to dim...Just like me ...

I got the #82`s my local Midnite Auto Supply ands now the dome light works.

Mine is an 82. Don't understand why your first one would be different. They should all be the same physically with the number.

Keith-I found that the receptacle was distorted and I was having trouble inserting the bulb, I took the fixture down and was able to straighten it, in order to put the #82 bulb in place. Everything works fine now>

That makes sence. I have to take mine down to put the bulb back in as the old fingers don't work as good as they used to.
