As a new owner of a standard 6 with 181 cin engine I hope you can help me. The oil pan gasket is leaking. Is it possible to remove the oil pan without taking the engine of the car ??

At the most you may have to remove one end of the tie rod and drop the tie rod out of the way. Will not have to remove the engine.

I have had the 1936 Standard one off. The only thing you got to get around is the tie rod. Not to bad to do. I think if I remember is I jacked it up some to get more clearance. "I" beam front axle down and car body up. Let wheels dangle. The pan out fine.
