Is there anyone who knows where to buy freeze plug kits for 1935 standard engine? How many are there and what size? Is it better to use brass or steel? Do I have to remove the manifolds to install?

Thanks for your replies.

My engine block casting number is 837591-1 1935 block. It has 2 plugs that I see. 1 on L/H side and 1 on rear.

29-39 & 29-42 parts book says 1 1/4 inch. no Quantities listed. My block measures 1 1/2 inch. The 29-50 parts book says 1 1/2 inch plugs, quantity of 2, 1 on L/H side and 1 on rear of block.
So I guess the earlier books are not correct.

THANKS FOR THE REPLIES.
