What color should the floor pan in the trunk in a 1940 sedan be? Is it the same color as the car? What kind of fabric was on the inside of the fenders in the trunk? All that is left on mine is some kind of fuzzy stuff.

I`m no expert ...can only tell you what is on mine and I think it`s right ....but not sure. The sides of the trunk have molded panels covered with a light brown burlap material. The floor was a dirty black I thought ...and I cleaned it up and sprayed it black again . The back panel up against the back seat is a black cardboard material. I have the 4 door special deluxe `40

The truck floor is car color with strips of sound deadner stuck on, seam sealer around the side and a general messy look.

No....Its is the darkest Blue....looks black at night. Probably was the Dark blue in the trunk like the car color....but I sprayed it black and also did the side panels black . They looked so beat in the light brown burlap. Sure looks better now back there , but not as a stock `40 should be.
