If you have the single factory horn mounted on the intake manifold theproblem is the horn. You can remove the sheel on the back and fool around with the contact gap.

Often times when they've set idle for years they need a "tune-up" You'll have to open'er up if there's no adjuster screw outside. I used to have someone lay on the horn while I'd turn the adjustment screw. It's fun hearing it come back to life !

My headlights are not working on my truck. It seems that the fuse holder is hot. I replaced the fuse and it lit up for a few seconds before it blew. Needless to say the wire after the fuse got quite warm as well.
Does anyone have an idea what is going on here?

There is a short to ground in the wire going to the headlights, look for a bare spot that is touching metal or a place where the wire is pinched.

Been there and done that! Mine was the wire going to the license plate light on the trunk. Could be anywhere in the system, though.

If you do not find it very easy you can narrow your search by cutting the wire to the rear and if it still blows the fuse than you know the short is to the front. If it does not blow the fuse you know you have to look to the rear. You could also unhook the headlight wires at the junction block on the inner fender and see if it blows the fuse.

Please don't start cutting wires...It's much simpler to find than that..You own a ohm meter, don't you...? Or perhaps a VTVM Meter....? If not...Undoing the wire at the fender junction might be a good place to start...Usually, the offending wire is in plane site, as to the exposure to the elements...Undo a head light wire, one at a time...See what happens...

I had a horn wire that would "ground" every time I'd turn on the headlights...Now, I don't drive at night... laugh ...Just kidding...I wrapped a rubber glove around the offending "short"...I'll fix it some day...

Probably around the time Bruce gets his "points"...Or makes me an omelet...Which ever comes first... laugh
