Has any body else noticed all these strange clocks appearing frequently with Chevrolet ( water slide????) blue logos?? like this one. Strange clocks with chevrolet logo.

I've seen them and also a colorful Badge that has appeared multiple times. I think they are all fakes of some kind.

I collect Chevrolet watches and clocks. Don't have any proof they are/are not genuine, but if a hunch counts, they are altered nondescript clocks and watches. Most altering is extremely professional. Makes it very difficult, especially if you are buying them without having the item in your hands to examine.

I have noticed the same seller and he has sold a lot more than four and I suspect that they are all fakes.
I have been meaning to ask the seller a question regarding their authenticity. Every ad is listed the same way with no reserve, buyer beware!

The might seem logical to some but in sports a fake is anything to get a person to believe one thing and then do something else. A person that is a fake is one that pretends to be someone else. If it ain't right its a fake. That is how I define the word.

I don't think he'll be stopping anytime soon! A quick look around ebay and I found a few of the clocks he's selling without any bowtie decals for $20-$70. Buyer beware!

I have noticed several things which I have question one seller about. One is the round bowl type ash tray with the suction cup on it allowing it to be stuck somewhere on the inside of the car. Another is the steering knob (necker knob) which is a more modern ball bearing steering knob with a three point mount and the word Chevrolet on it. I have asked the seller in the "Ask A Question" part of the listing for a Part Number on a few of these items. I have never gotten any sort of answer.

Haven't been on the chat for a while and catching up. I see this guy is making excellent money with his clock merchandise. This clock is approaching $350 with 31 bids and 2 days left. Made by New Haven who did make clocks for Chevrolet and it appears to be in excellent condition. Hi Ralph, New Haven did actually make clocks for Chevrolet(not the one in the link though) Both the 1939 stem wind clock and electric clock were made by New Haven as examples.

I repair/restore antique car clocks. None of the "Chevrolet" car clocks referenced in this thread are original Chevrolet clocks.

I have seen this fellows auctions for "original" automotive items for years. I wonder If anything he sells Is really original! Amazing how they all look original with weathered boxes, in some cases. Who makes all these knockoffs?????

I would imagine he makes the fakes...
I make artsy signs and clocks and patina them to look vintage/weathered as thats a popular style now. I sell them as new, not originals, but its amazing what you can do with a few chemicals, tools, and time.
Everyone who gets duped by this guy ought to be filing reports with Ebay. They'll eventually kick him off and its easy enough for him to start another account but if it gets to be too much of a pain in the butt for him he'll quit. Just need to deprive him of his profit for long enough I suppose.
