At the top of the accelerator pump there is a link . You have a choice of three holes to connect the link. Which hole should I use? Thanks

I would try all three and go with the one that works the best. They give you three different stroke distances (and amount of fuel) coming from the accelerator pump. Considering the age of the engine and carburetor, altitude and mixture of gas used today I believe trial and error would be best. The only carb. function it changes would be what the engine dose when you step down on the gas pedal at lower speeds.

For the best overall performance, I would set the link in the center hole.

Hey Dick,

I think I have the 34 on the center hole also.

I tried all three and the center hole seemed to work best for me.

Here is the deal with the three holes. They go to the accelerator Pump Adjustment. The Medium stroke is the correct setting (middle)for ordinary temperatures and standard gasoline. Short stroke is for extremely hot climates, at high altitudes or with high test fuel. The long stroke is for use in extremely cold climates. Remember that the counter-shaft that operates the accelerating pump should be lubricated with graphite grease. To lubricate the shaft, fill the cover screw hole with graphite grease. That prevents it from hanging up and makes for smooth movement.
