My '30 Coupe runs about 5 to 6 pounds at speed when warmed up, about 4 pounds at idle.
Happy Motoring,

If you have a gear pump it should be a little more, but not much. My 34 has a gear pump and its not much more.

My '34 with a gear pump would run 18 to 20 pounds at 50 MPH with HOT 10W-30 oil. A normal '34 with a vane pump and tight mains would be about 13 pounds under those conditions.
On a 1930 engine the only thing getting the full pressure is the center main bearing.

Hey Gene, I think I was about 15 pounds when I was running the car....but I can't remember right of the top of my head. To many things were running around up there, trying to figure out to make it run better. Now I can look next time I run the car.
