This would make a nice garage mate while you restore that roadster...

That 35 std roadster is in real good shape and has a history to go with it. Appears to be a HOLDEN Australia made body.

Yes I agree, a very fair price for such a complete unrestored vehicle.

Car sold for $10.1000 australian dollars and in USA dollars it was $9121.31.....roughly 10% less. Throw in $3G to get it to a USA port in california and thats your cost, plus getting too your door by trailer or transport. And its an AUZZIE GM HOLDEN roadster BODY, not a USA stamping. It has value in australia that does not translate here to north america.

I think your 34-35 roadsters are selling for under $25,000 in nice driver quality. How much is a quality car selling for, hard to say , but that 33 master tub was a multiple listed ebay car at $55 G from louisville museum and it did not sell that i know of.

I have not kept written track of selling prices of 33---35 chevrolet open cars selling on ebay over last few years. I know the price of mine on ebay and another 35 roadster from maryland that was missing a left front fender, sold for $11.800 i believe.

I definately think that the selling prices of vintage 1930's chevrolets open cars has seriously fallen below the expensive to the affordable mark. Lots of people will quote an i will not accept less than XXXX $, as the song title from Aerosmith says ," dream on ". Your gonna spend many more dollars restoring your car than your ever going to get back out of it.

So chose either a nice driver build or a trailer queen build, choice is yours.

Unfortuneately--------The guy riding shotgun , got taken out first with a stealth blackjack crack to the skull, putting him into sleepytime. He was a non factor.

The other guy with the death grip on the steering wheel on right hand side of car, put up a big and noisy loud fight, but a losing fight it was.

Checking out some of the pictures i saved of this particular car in my computers pictures files.

I noticed that the panel area above the trunk/rumble lid leading to the top fold down area is welded too the quarter panels. Also below the trunk lid / rumble lid the panel is also welded too the quarter panels.

In north American stamped roadsters, both of these panels float over a 1/4" notch in the wood supports below and are just NAILED to the wood framing.

Yes the GM Holden Australia main body is different than the north american stampings. The swage body line running from the cowl thru the doors is much diffferent. The holden body also does not have a body molding line around the rear wheel wells , on the quarter panel, like the USA stampings. As mentioned before in prior post the various welded up open seams .

The value for a Holden produced roadster body is in australia. I have seen at least 5 of them including a couple of tourings for sale in north america on ebay USA. All of them sold eventually.

To those who do not know, its just a chevrolet roadster or touring.

I still have this ebay australia auction in my ebay watching page. Interesting is the fact that the former selling price of $9121.38 in USA dollars is now down to $8995.06,......thats down another $126.25.

Looks like the australian currency is on the way down verses the USA, again.
