Hello everyone,
I have a 38 Master Deluxe 2 door Town Sedan that I am in the process of restoring. It was a project car that my father and I picked up a bunch of years ago. He passed away a few years ago from cancer and I am trying to finish her up in memory of him. The original goal was to build her to go "garage sailing" with mom.
Little bit about myself. I'm only 34. Basically where I stand as of now is the frame media blasted and painted, and she's back to being a rolling chassis. I won't bore you guys but I will be looking for a few parts down the line including front seat springs, which my father had sent out to "Crums Upholstery" but unfortunately Mr. Crum has also passed away and I can't get in touch with anyone to get the springs back.
I look forward to hearing everyone's expertise advice along this journey of mine. Thanks

Welcome, welcome...glad to have on board...When you find a new sourse for the seat springs I'd like to hear about it, as I could use some myself...Saw some NOS on ebay myself a while back, but missed out...Sounds like you have a great car, worth restoring...Keep us informed as to how it's going, and we'll be happy to give you any info you need.. Welcome to a great site and glad you're jumping into the project.
I suspect 'garage sailing' means sailing from garage sale to garage sail, as in shopping. Sounds like fun!

I'm sorry I never got back to everyone hahahaha, I'm thinking 10 years has to be a record on response time lol. He wanted to take my mother to go to garage sales, so he would refer to it as "sailing" from one garage sale to another.
As far as the seat springs, still no luck but a lot of progress has been made. She is painted, motor is in, runs off starter fluid, and I've been working on interior lately.

Welcome back! You might want to check with "Snyder's Antique Auto Parts" Snyder's Seat SpringsThey are primarily a Model A Ford supplier, but they also make seat springs for other makes and are great to work with. I've bought several sets of springs from them. Good luck with your long-term project. All the Best, Chip
