Bill,

I'm presently working on my 1915 H-4 and the topic "Starting a 1915/16..." is of special interest to follow. However, when opening this topic, all postings are widened by open fields so I have to scroll the picture horizontally for each line to read the text. This irritant occurs on this topic only, which gives me reason to believe the cause is not in my pc, but I cannot be sure. Any remedial suggestion will be appreciated.

The problem you describe has been discussed before, the remedy explained previously is to post pictures of a certain pixel count and I think that count is in the "FAQ & Help" section.

I just looked at that thread and I don't have the scrolling issue you describe. Check your screen resolution. Set it at the highest resolution your monitor will support. Each step higher resolution makes the items on the screen a bit smaller. A high resolution will make the images sharp as well. Try that and see if it helps.

Also let us know which browser you are using.

Windows Internet Explorer? If so, look at the very top navigation bar. Example: File/Exit/View/Favorites/Tools/Help

Click on HELP, then ABOUT INTERNET EXPLORER.

Let us know which version it is. And if it's 8, then be preparted to upgrade to 9. 8 is very poor.

You might try downloading and installing FireFox. I've been using it for about three years. IMHO it's light years better than IE.

It turned out that the IE 9 is not compatible with the Windows XP on my PC, so I installed Firefox. Problem resolved.

IE upgraded itself to IE10 & I still don't use it. FF is much better IMHO. At least MS finally added a spell checker to 10.
