What time in the model year of 1930 did the factory change the mounting of the foot rest from the bottom of the front seat to the back of the front seat? My special sedan is on the back Ohio 07/1930, Club sedan Oakland 03/1930 on the bottom. Of course the Club sedan has an ash tray in the back of the front seat like the 1929 sedans have.

Hello Mr. Grinch. My late 1930 car has this feature. I will check the mounting. Rick

Well,..... I don't have an answer , just another question. When I bought my '28 sedan there was a foot rest lying in the rear floor board, it has never been mounted (no holes in floor mat or seat back).
Someone told me it should be mounted to the seat, but, I don't intend to mount it until I know for sure, in fact I don't think It would improve anything by being mounted, I like the extra floor space.

What do you experienced '28 drivers think?
