Is there any company that has patterns available to make the wood components yourself? My 1930 two door coach wood needs some replacing but I'd like to do the work myself. I know I can buy the whole kit or just the pieces I need from a couple auto wood companies. Any suggestions?

There are no wood patterns available for making your own wood pieces that I am aware of. There are several companies that manufacture wood kits for your 1930 as you discovered, but they don't sell patterns as far as I know.

For more response to your question you also might want to post in the 1929-32 forum.

Good luck with your search.

I made my own for my '1931 Coach, used ash, and the old scraps as patterns, along with guidance from the sheet metal, the diagrams in the 29-32 parts price list, and photos of new wood carcasses I pulled off internet. Haviong done so, the only part I would buy in future is the door posts, very complicated profiles, not for the novice. '30 posts are a bit simpler (vertical versus slanted upper post), but still I expect they would be your challenge. So wehy not buy the posts and repair anything else yourself. About 50% -60% of my wood was solid and restorable. Good luck.
