Sometime while I was rebuilding the steering gear box in my truck it decided not to get any fire to the plugs. When I was tracing it back I discovered there was no fuse in the fuse holder. I found that odd as prior to rebuilding the steering gear box it would start right up and purr like a kitten. So I went to put in a 20 amp fuse and it wouldn't fit. It was too long and not by a little bit. It would have to be cut in half to fit.
So what belongs there or should I replace the fuse holder. FYI, the wiring harness is brand new.

What year truck and where is the fuse holder located? When asking questions please give us all of the specific information that you can. If you are working on your 1930 truck, the fuse is located on the back of the light switch. There is no other fuse holder. The fuse on the back of the light switch has nothing to do with starting the car.

OOPS I'm sorry. I knew better.
1935 half ton pu. The fuse is attached to the cold side of the ignition switch.
