It sure doesn't look like its made for the car, looks like a cheap imitation sun visor. I wonder if it was much cheaper than the more popular visors marketed at the time?

Interesting, but it looks pretty flimsy.........hope it blew off the car after a few miles. I certainly hope it was a LOT cheaper than a Fulton or similar, because it sure looks that way.

This is my take on the visor:
This was Chevrolet first attempt at the visor and I’m sure the aftermarket sales grabbed there attention. I agree, it is an ugly looking visor and cheaply made. Basically it is a wire frame with vinyl cloth material. Chevrolet probably rushed into manufacturing this, thus the cheaply made visor. It wasn’t until 1949 where they finally did it right, making it form and fit well to the design of the car.
