i verified the timing, i ck'ed the plugs and valves cold )(hasnt run long enough to get hot)' had the carb checked on a running engine, etc. what can i do next.
when its running, if i hit the accelerator it dies, cant get it to speed up.
I'm filling the fuel vacuum pump so its not a tank feed problem, bowl fills up about 1/3 , needle valve seems to shut off the gas when float is raised about horizontal (9/16) as indicated in the manual.
thanks. ron

I think your problem is fuel related. There must be a restriction that blocks the fuel from flowing evenly. I would take a couple of connections apart and blow some air through the lines. Your float may not be letting the inlet valve accept fresh fuel. Failure to react when the throttle is opened is another sign of insufficient fuel.
