On my new 1925/1926 Chevy roadster, the trunk lid has a circular key opening, where a T-handle is inserted to unlock or lock the trunk. Okay. But, often I find myself opening the trunk and I would rather have a more fixed trunk handle.

I can simply drill a small hole and fit a removable pin into the square shaft, to keep the T-handle in place ( would hate to have it bounce out on the road) and could remove the pin when necessary. But that's a bit fussy.

Anyone else have a different setup they use?

thanks,

Jay

The '25-26 did not have a handle only a "T" shaped key. Don't think that there is enough metal in the shank to install a big enough screw to secure it. Guess you could install a later model handle which was held in by a screw in the end of the shank.

Please note that additional of a handle may not clear the spare tire, it is tight! (I prototyped this failure, oops!)
