I got my newly restored 41 Town Sedan out yesterday to drive it to two cars shows. One show, I helped organize for Historic Rugby, TN which brought about 40 cars. The other show was the Moonshiner's Run in Whitley City, KY that brought 171 cars with this being the first year. My bluegrass band performered at the Moonshiner's Run and we had a ton of fun. Between the two shows, I drove about 85 miles. The ole girl is doing well. The only problem I've found is a windshield leak at the bottom right corner of the passenger glass and a windshield leak at the top right corner of the driver glass. I'll work to seal that in the coming days. Other than that, she'll cruise at 60mph and 180 degrees all day long. Even during a parade on the 4th, she idled at 180 degrees the entire event. One thing I've noticed, she doesn't run smooth till the engine hits 180 degrees. Once it's there, she runs as smooth as can be. I'm learning her hot starts and her cold starts too. I'm really happy about how well she's doing. For one of my next drives, I want to go from Knoxville, across Hwy 441 across the top of the Smoky Mountains over to Cherokee, NC and back. That'll be 80 miles one-way with a 5,500ft mountain to cross. That'll be a trip...if I make it:)I should make it though since President FDR rode a 1940's limo to the top of the Smokies to dedicate it the park in 1944.

I am currently near Gatlinsburg, TN in a town called Seymour. How close are you to this town?

I'm in Powell on the north side of Knoxville. I know where Seymour is.

Brandon, if your '41 is like mine, it'll climb that mountain like a young goat. Pulling grades is one thing (maybe the only thing) that ol' 4.11 rearend is good for.

You have a sharp '41!

Good luck - -

The 1941 carburetors ran a little lean. Inn cold weather they run the best with the choke button out about 1/2". Also make sure your heat riser is free and working.
