Question: At the bottom of the cowl in my '32 Cabriolet there are two 90 degree angle steel fixtures leaving a space (vertically measured) of 1 1/2 inches. Do the main sill insert into this space or do they go completely below the bottom of the cowl using a wood spacer to attach to the 90 degree steel fixtures?.

Also, could someone provide the overall length of the wood sills for a '32 Cabriolet? I will appreciate the info to confirm measurements.

Can you please start a new topic with this question? This thread is getting very long and covering many subjects within an undefined title, making for difficulty in our trying to keep track of subject contents. Thanks.

You can get the overall length of the cabriolet main sills from Autowood Restoration in Hanna, Indiana. They make complete wood kits for the 1932 cabriolet.
