I just picked up this 27/28 Coupe for $500. What can you tell me about this body ID tag? Its obviously missing the wood structure but the panels are in really good shape.

Fisher body in Canada and the Usa built the bodies but The Chevrolet Company of Canada built up to 1918 and became General Motors of Canada Limited and is a Privatly owned Canadian Company in Superior Court of Ontario canada with the Corporation as indirect parent. my guess it was built in Canada and the adds are documented in newspapers of the day on google news.

Thank you very much. I poked around a little bit and I figured it was a 1928 AB National because of the 107" wheelbase and front brakes.

Those are good clues to the model year also. Two exhaust ports, crankcase vent tube to carburetor are a couple of others.
